I was given an 869.5 Calai 2000 that I was able to get germinated. 1000ppn Gibberellic Acid for 6 hour soak, and 85 degrees in a biochar peat mix. This was actually the first seed I ever grew. Along with a pumpkin seed from "Tiny Tim" not sure who he was.

Great accomplishment, thanks for sharing your technique. I was wondering how you did it.

Awesome news.... I love that seed and grew my 689.5 off of it. The pumpkin had a perfect shape and a beautiful ORANGE color.

How was it stored? I’ve kept some in a jar in my freezer and most seem to last at least 20 years. Good luck!

I germinated a Bright watermelon seed from the late 70s a few years ago. I germed 2 out of 3

That's great to hear Shannon! Maybe you can grow a real looker on it like the 953 Langevin, and also make some nice crosses. I'll be keeping an eye on your diary. Growz'em orange! Engel orange! Or should I say Calai orange LOL!!!

She is growing like a weed. I have a fluted/thick vine that wants to give me stress. I have started heavy watering and calcium nitrate to correct.

That is awesome man, so cool to bring quality old genetics back into the picture. Surely she will be your little baby for the year. Keep us updated
