$500 and $50, $50 prizes.
I hope I have made this a fun contest that anyone can enter. Last years winner was grown by myself... 795.5 lbs. I am told one nearly that large was grown in California in addition to some others that came in at over 500 lbs. This year... Who knows. Good luck growers:)
Details can be found in the blossomdownsters diary.
I would encourage anyone who wants to, to reach out to the community to encourage those who may be interested in competitive growing. As you all probably know... one way to get folks interested is to grow really awesome pumpkins!
For blossom-down growing info use this site for research, or feel free to email me to discuss specific growing techniques... I dont know much but I am happy to talk with you. There are still some unknowns and techniques-in-development. For most growers this is an open frontier in pumpkin growing technique. You may have to improvize a bit. Good luck I hope I win again lol.. not sure I will even grow but if I do I will try to win again...

$500 prize is charity. It can go to your club, 4-H, GPC, an inclusive non-profit charity...bigpumpkins.com may not be a registered non profit but a donation to bigpumpkins.com would be aok with me. You get the idea... Things that are good for everyone.
