Is this a real part of the competitive growing thing... or just me? Weather is not even that bad here, but I’m sometimes stuck indoors for other reasons.

Yep. I know from past experience if I’m not working hard now I’m wasting time because I’ll be getting behind soon enough. Now is the time to get ahead... service the tiller and sharpen the mower blade.
