Certain things about this hobby can be political, some can be frustrating and at times it can be depressing
But with all that, We have a VERY BRIGHT spot in this hobby and that would be the Orange Angel foundation and Pap Wallace
I need to share something with all of you, (pretty sure Pap with move me to his black list) But I want you to read this:

Hello Mr. Wallace,

I wanted to reach out again to thank you for all you do for our needy WW children. As I look back to first meeting you at Quinn School close to 18 years ago, you must have helped close to 1,000 of our students. The smiles that appear on their faces when they put on a new coat that you have provided are priceless. The relief in their parents voices when they accept your kind offer and let go of the worry of how they will meet that need is heartwarming as well. In addition to coats, of course, you have provided countless hats, gloves, sweats, and even Christmas toys for families that may have had to go without. Please extend our sincere gratitude to all involved in the Orange Angels Foundation for all they have provided. Be on the lookout for the children's thank you notes in the mail!

Thanks again and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

with all you have done for the hobby and it growers, plus the oaf donations over the years, i could never put you on a naughty list.
(other than when you attend a pumpkin function-lol)

Your friendship to Ron and i, plus the many friends we made over the years in this hobby, means an awful lot.

Most people do not know that Ron also holds a toy drive and Christmas party for West Warwick children every year at his club, collecting hundreds of toys for our needy families and children.
The apple did not fall far from the tree.

Pap is a class act to be sure i donated a couple years ago he wrote a personal letter and threw some seeds my way i can say i will personally always answer his calls thanks paps for what u do and what u have done for not only the pumpkin grower community but the local kids AND your service to your country
