What's going to be the Hot Seed to get in the off season? Lots of great new genetics out there. Which will have the highest demand?

1911 Urena would be my guess.

I bought 2 1875 Mendi seeds last year. I'm very happy to have them since the Patons grew the 2433.9 from that seed. Now only if I could grow like them...:)

The 1911 only produced two pumpkins with a GPC pedigree: the 2528 Geddes and the 1594 Urena. I grant you one of them attained a world class weight, the other one not so much. Plus, you are discounting what the 1803 Gadberry brings to the table with the 2145, 2230 wallace and 1965 Brandt in its bloodline.
I want the Haist seed myself. But what is so great about seed auctions is that there really is no wrong answer unless you buy your seeds from Burpee. lol

1501 Vander Wielen might attract some attention. grew a beautiful orange and one that was pale. Both were big And I think personal bests. So you have both big and possible HD in this one.

Actually this has been a topic since the weigh offs If you look at how many NEW seeds produced well you have a pretty good chance with any seed that has 2145 in their mix and actually almost everything has it, or it sure seems that way

If anything could... 2469 Daletas in my view could go to 3k. It was pollinated by the 2157.5 Daletas. The interesting thing about the pollinator was the shoulders were exceptionally large. The 2469 was just thick... everywhere. I just think the pollinator had more potential in it because the shoulders were huge and that trait could add OTT to the 2469... then you’d be in WR territory. I’m lucky to have seen both in person.
That’s the seed I would grow for size potential, but I might just be a biased PGVG member. But I certainly won’t be hitting 3k anytime soon and if I had every seed available to me... a 2066 Geddes might be what I would grow.

How about the 2624 Willemijns? 5 huge pumpkins in the top 50 grown this year. Is this one already a hot seed?
