Yeah, that was not the best written article. I thought the same thing about the longest float. The article mentioned a starting point and an ending point, as if that was sufficient. And it did not mention, the distance of the old world record. Hopefully, someone can fill in the details because it sounds like a really amazing achievement.

quick search Swan Falls Dam to Marsing is about 40 miles via road... the river looks about the same distance...!!!

I thought about adding a skirt just for the rapid but I didn't get around to asking Guinness if it would be acceptable. It takes 2 weeks to get a response.
