What a massive number of big pumpkins at Stillwater today. It is amazing that 1810 pounds took 10th place. It was a great weigh off today. Congrats to all the growers.

I have to say it was a super great event. I visited with a lot of great wonderful growers. Super big pumpkins, they just kept coming and coming. I think there were 39 entries somebody correct if that isn’t the right #.

On a cliff in the desert

The thing that I liked about the event was seeing Joe Ailts with a pumpkin that made it to the finish line. 10 years of disappointing seasons in a row and continuing to try to get something to the scale. Him winning the Howard Dill award with his pumpkin is poetic justice.
