Is there a GPC expectation or rule or guideline as to how soon a weigh-off site should report their data to the GPC? It seems some sites can take many days to get the data in. Just wondering.

A lot of sites are run by volunteers who aren't paid to do the necessary jobs like data entry after a weigh off, they're doing it to help our community. In addition, every weigh off that is registered understands that the numbers are what it's all about, and we wanna see them as soon as possible.
I'm not aware of any maximum reporting time for weigh off numbers. In my experience, most weigh offs have the results posted overnight, if not within the week. I would suggest that if it has been two weeks or more since your local weigh off, and the results aren't posted, consider contacting them to see why. Perhaps they would like to have it done, but just need a bit more help or a better system.
Each site is going to do it differently, regardless of what the overall guidelines say. We can see this with the Howard Dill award. Much of it is up to interpretation for the site coordinators to handle the best they are able to with the members that they have. If we start penalizing sites for slow reporting, we only hurt ourselves in the end as less people will want that responsibility.
As someone who volunteers at two weigh offs each year, and is proud to take those final measurements of the season that do get reported, please be patient with your local site organizers. Each one does the best they can with the members they have.
Good luck getting your numbers, drop them a friendly line if you don't!

Take a laptop to the weigh-off. Fill in the results. Once at home or somewhere with a Wifi network, click on "Sync with Web", which takes about 5 seconds. No reason why results cannot be loaded immediately or within one day. If you can't do the job, don't volunteer.

Or if you can do the job do volunteer. It might be a small job to one person but big hassle to someone else. Just be aware that people might view a small data/computers task very differently. Get it assigned to the right person.

Please understand, I am not complaining and, BTW, I do volunteer at the local weigh-offs. And my local weigh-offs do report very quickly. I just like to review the results world-wide at this time of the year and I have noted a wide variation in the time to results. I was just curious about the GPC expectations. Thanks.
