What is a 1000-1200 lb pumpkin worth? What is considered very good $.

I know California Chris gets top dollar in his market, not to highjack your post, just curious what is a fair price?

Question right back at you, every market is different. What is top $ in your area. I'm talking starting at $1 a pound ...depending.

Never sold one, so I have no idea what our market would accept.

One thing for sure is that it will probably be an out of state pumpkin. Only about 6 pumpkins in the last decade from North Carolina weighed for competition have exceeded 1200 lbs.

For sake of discussion, for a good looking pumpkin $1 per pound + delivery fee is a fair price. The delivery fee could be small or big depending on the logistics of the situation.

50 cents to 5 bucks a pound depending on who it is if your selling it.

Free if its for one of our sponsors, church, local school or something like that.

It all depends on the market in your area.
