I know AG plants still freeze even if it's a bit over 32 F (0 C) - but what is the 'hottest' temperature that damages starts happening to the leaves. 41 F ? 37 F? Thanks

You can have frost at 35,36,37 degrees. Its the little ice crystals landing on the leaves that cause some damage not the 37 degree air temp.Remay or shade cloth gets them through this scenario in great shape.

The evaporation of dew will cool the leaves more than the surrounding air. I agree that 37 is about the warmest when you can get frost. A breeze usually keeps the air moving and mixed up to prevent frost. Calm air is you enemy when temperatures drop.
