Hi I went to a garden centre some months ago ask asked for a courgette to plant in my grow bag. It was small but a few weeks later it started growing but instead of growing upwards as previous courgettes done It started spreading creating vines so I looked on the net at the name of the plant which is cucurita maxima(jaun gros de paris) it turns out to be a pumpkin
I never grew pumpkin before but will get another next year
I did have a little one earlier but it went soft and Brown maybe it was near to floor I have another which is quite big like a football but when do I pick it?or do I wait till it turns whitish / green as it says that its colour? its yellow at the moment also if I leave it will that be the only one?
I did feed it in the beginning but it didn't respond well so now all I do make sure its watered well

When the stem turns dry and brown on the outside is what people usually say you can leave it on for a long time and the plant will keep it healthy even if it stops growing
