Let's say you can't water your plants in the morning : what are the disadvantages of watering them in the evening? I know Powdery Mildew would spread faster, but what else??? thanks!!

If you are using cool water it will chill your plant/soil some which is working harder not smarter.

Early evening has worked well for me. Leaves dry off as the sun goes down. Doesn't wreck the overnight temperatures as badly.

When I water in the evening, I use water that is warmed through the day in black garbage cans. Adding humic/fluvic stains the water brown to help it warm up. I did some tests a few years ago and found cold water in the evening does slow growth, which picks up when switching back to warm water.
I don't see the PM as an issue. I get such heavy dew that the plants are always wet going into the night.
