Is there a stage, ie (Weight, Dap) that a person doesn’t have to worry so much with a split happening?

Lol Porkchop, I was hoping someone would say that around 1400 lbs I start to rock and roll those babies. Thanks, I have two doing real well.

For me after day 60 I start to feel like I’m not going to lose one to a split. That being said I lost a big Squash to a rib split on day 62 in 2014.

I agree on DAP 60. I have had at least 7 blossom end splits and they always happened before day 50 (generally 30-40 DAP). Stem splits for me have shown up early too when growing fast and are far more manageable than a BES. Stem rot is what can get you late season causing you to have to remove portions of the stem. My experience is it starts as a little brown spot and grows fast. It's still very hot and humid here, disease is rampant so I keep it uncovered during day and make sure it's getting air (fan). It's a slower process and easier to deal with to make it through than the dreaded BES split or rot.
Around when rot was discovered:

1 month later surgery and it made it rest of year:
