Vehicle recovery strap or seat belt material is best high tensile strength a wider profile and heavy duty.. rope just sounds like it’s going to dig into the pumpkin or worse yet break

You want a rope with the least amount of stretch (Kevlar or Polyester). A lot of other ropes with great tensile strength are designed to stretch which is not a good thing when you have a big pumpkin 5 feet off the ground.
