When you’re looking at the weather does what it feels like matter also. My forecast for tommorow says it will be high of 97 but feel like 110. Also on a side note how many days does it take after pollination for the plant growth to be affected.

Real feel factors in humidity and we’ve been up to 114 as of today. I’ll be blunt and when it’s that hot you need a lot of rooted plant. I had a bunch of aborts early in early June at those temps, but everything is keeping now. I feel like the plant knows it’s in survival mode and has to “reproduce”. Where are you located?

It might hit 100 today and tomorrow and be in the 90s all week with high humidity putting 110-115 feel like. Being 45 miles north of that in the Adirondacks I'll be 10 degrees less. It will be oppressive. Hasn't hit 100 in Albany since 1953. Lots of ice jugs in my big freezer.

Abomb, not sure on an answer about real feel but i am in same boat for pollination. I pollinated one yesterday and 2 more coming this week, I keep ice in a Styrofoam cooler near kin with a fan behind to move cool air. Air around kin yesterday only got to 80. Also have ice near kins for later pollination's just in case.

Pollinated 5 last week with prime areas coming due this week. Like Ray says styrofoam cooler upside down with ice blocks to keep them cool. Weight the cooler down so it doesn't blow around. Only 4 days last year broke 80 here..Dwight you can have it, all depends on where you live and what Mother Nature decides to throw at you. Good Luck, T
