In Kansas with our humidity I would cut that off right now. What does everyone else do...would you cut your pumpkin butt off or would you clean it and hope for the best?
P.S. I'm not calling you pumpkin butt!

Time to make an appointment with the doctor... I think its not worth the risk they can keep growing without the blossom. I would recommend cutting not breaking... I broke a little bit of the pumpkin off last year... NICE PLANTS BTW!

I cut mine off 10 days ago...it looked a little worse than yours pumpkin still growing well. I just cut it off and filled the wound with sulfur.

Paint full strength Daconil on them when they are healthy,if you remove it let the wound dry then apply Daconil
