Hey Joe, as long as it stays shiney and grows in circumference each day it should be a keeper. You will know for sure by day 7-10.

around day 5 to seven the pumpkin will lay down and shine up and start to grow .measure the circumference daily-its either gonna make daily gains or its not viable.

Be sure to remove the flower pedals too so the blossom can dry.

Joe, looks good from today’s picture. The baby has laid down and is clearly bigger. In the next few days it will be increasing in circumference and before you know it, will be growing 3”-4” in circ per day.

Hi, heres a pic from day 9 — it’s still shiny and growing slowly, but our weather has been wet and cold-ish for this time of year. Today was our best day weather wise with a high of 20c (70f) >>>>> today it looks to be about 1.5 times the size of a tennis ball.
I’m guessing the pollination took?
