Extensive damage last night in the Wilkes Barre area with what for sure looks like a Tornado.. It made national news this morning. That was the site of the Big Show a couple of years back.. and not far from Tony Ciliberto's patch. We have had some strange weather this year in NE Pennsylvania. It is hard to keep a pumpkin patch happy with mother nature being this angry.

Hated to see that Zero replies, Ned, so, very sorry to hear of the weather being miserable for you; will be thinking of you as I grow my plants and three of my crosses this year have the 689.5 as their pollinators (301.5 (677 Catapano X 689.5), 188 (335 Gerry X 689.5 ) and my 100 (746 Snyder X 689.5)); that 689.5 was one helluva seed and i was dum enough to not grow it every year - no more ever sprouted since 2010, but its legacy will live on---Better luck to you, my friend----eg

I hope all is well. We know about tornadoes down here and they can ruin everything in 5 minutes. Glad everyone is safe.

Just got back from my cabin and saw this post. Did the tornado take out Andy’s gourd trellis by chance?

Andy's trellis is just fine Jim. He will have one for the MAGPGA weigh off.. :) The tornado that touched down in our area earlier this year luckily missed a direct hit on our patches. Wilkes Barre is about an hour from us. No we are battling deer and wood chucks. It has been a slow start to this point. Hoping this warm weather gets us back on track.
