In Josiah Brandt’s video comments he said that he prunes most-all of his vines before 20 DAP and that makes his plants about 500-750sq feet. I know this doesn’t answer your question but it relates to it

I know from Ron wallaces grower diary he likes 17-18 and I think that’s how far out he grew the 2307 and 2261

We like as many side vines as possible behind the fruit, but still pollinate in the "Golden Window". That equates for us around 15 feet out and a 1209 to 1500 SqFt plant.

Would be great to know the closet and the furthest. I believe Mathias article on 2624 said all of his kins were set between 13-14 feet that year so thats 4 kins over 2000 plus the WR.

1725 Harp World Record from '09 was only 9 feet out. I know you asked 2K, but I bet that would have been over 2K if it was grown with today's genetics\techniques. Just showing, some can be grown big close in.

I am trying to understand how someone could end up with a 1000,or 1500 sq ft plant,,, when i here secondaries are 12-15 ft ea, pollination is at 15 ft out, So you got 30 ft wide total x 15 ft = 450,then add after pumpkin 5ft X 15 long= 75,, then maybe secondaries were not at a 90 * angle so wrapped back for another say 150 sq ft , maybe front secondaries wrapped forward for another 150 sq ft, thats is a total of 825 sq ft ,,, Unless people are now running secondarys 25 ft ea,,50 ft wide plant! !!!!!
