Hello all i have read several mixed opinions regarding frequency of fertilizing ranging from manufacture company recomendations of weekly fertilizing to fertilizing small amounts ( spoon feeding) daily and anywhere inbetween. Does anyone have general recomendations as i read a few of the elements can be sucked out of the soil in about 3 days.

I started fertizing with miracle grow but im switching to

Raw GRow and Raw Bloom by NPK depening on the stage of my pumpkins.

Thanks all

RAW recommends fertilizing once a week or on a rotation of water, water, feed.

So, feed every 3rd time you water, and always mix the RAW Products to their recommmendstions, it is highly concentrated stuff.

Watch Harley Smith videos from RAW on utube, they are great.

With your small plants, go with 1/4 of what's recommended not to burn roots.

Yes, good advice Rick. I almost never feed at full strength, especially when the plants are small.

Harley is a great guy He speaks at the local Hydro store once in a while. Smart man." Feeding sugar to a plant is like feeding milk to a cow" Harley Smith

Beni Meier taught us the trickle feed & grew 3 WR in one season.Trickle is best in my opinion.

until my seedlings are out the door and for the first outdoor watering @ 2 gallons/plant, 1/2-strength (1/2 tbsp./gallon H2O) 15-30-15 Miracle-Gro or equivalent; outdoors, full-strength (1 tbsp./gallon H2O, 2 gallons/plant, one to twice a week = never any problem(s).

Baby feeding, trickle feeding, spoon feeding, lite dosses with every watering,,,,, years ago we use to hammer the plants,, that was called " the kitchen sink method " and the more the better. This type of feeding shuts down the plant\pumpkin so most have gone to lite feedings every watering. Its a pain in the butt but it works.

Later this season I'll be feeding sometimes twice a day,,, really lite feedings but some type of nutrient with every watering.
