Just noticed a split in main vine at point where buried. Side split from ground about 4-5 inches up vine. Plants about 3 ft long. Don’t think it is an animal...WHAT? Thanks!

Sulfur or captan it and cover to keep the water out. I've seen covers made with plexiglass and 4 pieces of wood for legs. Just make sure air can get under and around

Noticed same in one of mine today. Wind twisted it.

Keep dry, it'll scar over in a gnarly way, but as long as crack is parallel with the vine you are good.

i've had this issue in the past and even this season. I use twist ties for around 4-5 days and keep it dry and it always heals over. dont worry to much about it but try your best to keep it from progressing, the vine will do the rest.
