It was the Howard Dill award winner at Fir Point Farms. Largest 898 Knauss offspring. Cross was 898 Knauss x 845 Bobier. Came in at 370 total inches, so back in the day it was way over chart. It was part of my 4000 pound club trio before there was a 4000 pound club. As far as I know, nobody ever planted it. I have a pic of it on my facebook page.

In 2010 I grew the 1257, this was my first year with a pumpkin patch, basically no idea how to grow these big plants, so the seeds were started pretty late, neither soil test nor any special amendments, and pollination was in early August. The fruit was in the 300 lbs range, beautiful shape and shiny orange.

@Brett: I had tried to send the pics to your email as well (the @canby one) but received an error message. The @gmail one seems to work. (Just noticed the @canby one is the one associated with your BP profile, please check if this is still ok and maybe it´s just today that this email account makes troubles.)

What did the 845 Bobier pollinator produce for you, Brett? I planted your 1100 from that year- loved the genetics- but had trouble with getting a pumpkin to set.

I always had terrible luck with the 845, so I just used it for a pollinator, then let a couple suckers go on it without any love. I always blew them apart in the blossom.
