Hi, My female flower is not fully open but has started. Ther weather is a mild 24c during the day, so not too hot at all. Can I wait for the flower to be full open and pollanate her this afternoon or tomorrow morning. I guess my question is for how long is a female flower ripe and ready for pollanation. Thank you ! GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL

I believe the day it opens. The earlier the better the chance pollination takes.

So, 75 degrees Fahrenheit seems nice, the temp. i HAVE TO have in my living room if I'm not bundled-up, lol---IF the flower is NOT deformed and is apparently GOING to open, like, no doubt, then wait it out so you can more easily get 'in there' to pollinate with the male stamens. IF the flower is deformed and/or one side of it or a few petals are literally stuck together, and yet OPENING, think of it like a BEE would---i gotta POLLINATE! bzzz, bzzz, bzzz...done, because you might not know when it is really 'open-open'. on the other hand, i HAVE pollinated at 7 PM EST (10 hours PAST when i like to at 9 am) and the pollination took---i have about 400 seeds from that fruit---but, stick with earlier if you can---eg PS---it's no crime to remove the flower entirely and pollinate, but if you want a controlled cross, you MUST protect it from ANY!!! insect activity with a fine, nylon mesh baggie and a styrofoam or similar cup over it all for a couple of days.
