Could I start two plants at opposite ends of the patch (or three if it was a triangle shape) and eliminate the worst plant(s). I will probably just go all-in and declare which seed I will use before I even plant it because I think it’s more fun and more fair this way. It’s tempting to get as competitive as possible... Would setting out multiple plants violate rule #1?

I traded my daughter 16 quarters 4 dimes 6 nickels for her 2 dollar bills...now I don't have to go the bank. hmmm...that adds up to 1646 in bad math..that is what i need to aim for in this 150 contest. My entry fee should be in the mail tomorrow. By the way Bart..that was smart thinking how you zig zagged your main...I have never thought of that before. Maybe I should zig-zag my cross over christmas tree pattern. If you want to be creative...you are running out of time to get into the 150. I know that in past years...deadline is a deadline...get in now while you still can.

Do you want to post a list of who signed up in case someone thinks they are signed up but they’re not on the list? Will send $ soon, also.

It’s not uncommon for growers to double plant in their patches. Once the plants are established they typically cull one and leave the ‘better’ one. There is no rule that prevents you from doing the same in the 150 contest. It is expected that the choice would be done fairly early. Remember that only one contest plant is permitted. You can look at FlatNorms diary for year 2016 as an example of multiple seedlings in the 150 patch. Seems ‘he’ had culled to one plant by 21 May.
Glenomkins, I will post a list of everyone in the contest once the registration is closed and final entry fees are received. Last day for registration is 15 April and entry fee must arrive by 30 April, per the contest rules. The short answer to your case is , yes you have declared entry( emails 2/12/2018 and 3/13/2018) but your entry fee has not been received yet.

FYI, so far there are registered growers from 4 countries. USA, Canada, Germany and Italy. It's going to be fun again !
