Our dear friend Mike Strange passed away yesterday. Mike was the kindest man I have ever met and had 3 loves in his life: his wife Gail, growing giant pumpkins and his track and field athletes that he coached. He was so proud of his athletes accomplishments and his passion for giant pumpkin growing was second to none. Please keep Gail in your thoughts and grow a special pumpkin in Mike’s honor this season.

Mike was one of the most enthusiastic and upbeat pumpkin growers I’ve ever known. I always enjoyed my talks with Mike and Gail. It was always hard to tell which he enjoyed talking about more, his athletes’ accomplishments or his pumpkins. He will be missed by all that knew him. Condolences to Gail and family.
