Just looking for input on using an IBC as a holding tank to help warm the water. Anybody have experience doing this? Plan is to get a pump for this upcoming season. Any input on this would greatly be appreciated! Nate

I have 10. All hooked to each other, I need to paint them black so it can warm the water better

Yes I have 18 of them. Will be painting 2 black to set by the patch this year. The rest collect rain water. If I can get it.

How big are your growing areas if you don't mind me asking? I have roughly 1,700 square feet, so may need to invest in more IBCs

I have some, but a 18' swimming pool is much cheaper. When you find a good used one cheap

Hey Zacman, beings your from MN you should have a menards near by, I and some guys I know use a Barracuda 1hp lawn and sprinkler pump from Menards they are $150 regular price but they work well. I can do 400 gallons an hour through 3 tripod sprinklers. For 1700 sq 1 tank would suffice but 2 would be better for getting water warmer.

Also to connect to the outlet use a rubber boot style with hose clamps to pvc pipe, then from pvc you can adapt to almost any fitting.

Just saw some on CL ranging from 60-130. Cheaper ones were used to store oils it appears.

Make sure not to use tanks that have had anything oil based in them.
