Giant Pumpkin Growers-
I have completed version 1.0 of the Giant Pumpkin Grower's Guide to Soil Testing & Pumpkin Fertility. Its been a heckuva time investment and I truly believe it can help growers more easily navigate the process of soil test-guided fertility management.
Within the ten pages, I provide suggestions for sample collection, labs to work with, & specific lab panels to choose. I then provide a linear sequence for addressing soil nutrient levels, starting with pH, Ca/Mg/K/CEC, N/S/Organic matter, P, and lastly, the micronutrients.
The guide includes reference charts for how much nutrient to add based on a range of test levels and target values. I also make suggestions for my preferred form of fertilizer for every nutrient. Ca/Mg/K/CEC balance is especially complex and multifactorial, as such, recommendations for these nutrients will be made on a 1:1 basis for all who purchase the guide.
The guide is only available in hard copy and can be purchased on the SCGA website: http://www.stcroixgrowers.org/Seeds.html
Thank you for considering and I look forward to your feedback!

Also, a big thanks to all who submitted photos for consideration to be included. Lots of beautiful pumpkins were pored over before a decision was made. Congrats to Glenna Rea and Dan Wagner, their submissions have been included in the booklet.

I am getting it Joe..I have been so involved in hydro with nutrient levels and ratios, lately. Will be interested what you have put together. Are you sure you want feedback?....version 2.0 could get much more complicated.
