The California Pumpkin Growers are just a loose knit band of pumpkin lovers. We do not have any sort of formal structure, club or association. I was wondering how the clubs across the US are structured. Do you have formal documents creating a Club or Association? What type of structure does that entail? I am interested in discussing this and receiving any documents that you might want to share outlining how your club or association is put together. Email me at penrynca@aol.com. Many thanks Elk Grove Harvest Host

some suggestions
1.comprise a list of all growers in your area-email them with your intentions, date and place of meeting.
2. at meeting discuss interest in group for forming a club
3. get list of those that would be members and those that want to take an active part in the running of the club.
4.should at minimum elect a. president b. vice president c. treasurer d. & e. two at large directors
at this meeting you could set a simple set of guide lines, goals, including ---- membership fees, fund raising drives, sponsorship goals,etc.----go on from there
all in all it comes down to having people that will work and strive to make your club a success at all levels.
