Good grief this bitter cold is making for a miserable winter. Cabin fever has set in pretty bad. Oh how I long for the smell of freshly tilled soil, the sound of chirping birds, and the opportunity to fail at getting a pumpkin to the scale yet again :)
To break the monotony and offer 10 minutes of respite (maybe less if ur a fast reader), i've completed the write up of the top-ten barriers to patch success survey y'all contributed to earlier this winter.
I've submitted the article to Ken for posting in the how-to section. You can also find it on the homepage of the SCGA website for a limited time, before it gets locked behind the wall of paid members only.
Hope you enjoy the read and your feedback is always welcome. Stay warm!

Wow Joze, great article! Pretty much nailed the life and times of a back yard giant pumpkin grower.
Ps moved pretty much latteraly on the 45 parralel west 300 miles to a costal climate (huge improvement in micro climate).
