Did any lot go for more than $100 last night? I was on for only the last half?

Mabey a oversight or mabey a way to help club auctions. After the 1st 6 or 7 auctions have happened prices have been set and when a seed reaches that price people will back off bidding thinking they'll wait till next auction to get lower price.

I think the most likely explanation is that Venari has tired of it after all these years. There was a request last year for volunteers to help do this and not many (countryboy did for sure) stepped up . Venari did this for years on his own and it is very much appreciated. He gave back to bigpumpkins.

I will be post OVGPG results in a day or so, still answering emails and addressing bubbles from the auction, lots to do. As for the posting for the season, I have had the honor and privilege and FUN doing the postings probably for better than a decade or so and Cecil has been kind to help with this for the past few years or so. Unfortunately Cecil is no longer able to help out, he off to bigger and better things. A true friend to the community here. As for myself my work load and schedule has change significantly this year and I am working most weekends, which makes it impossible for me to do the postings this year. I would like to throw out a suggestion, either someone(s) else could jump in on this or perhaps each club/auction could take it upon themselves to do their own posting for each auction night. Thank you for your kind word spudder it is appreciated. Any thoughs on this or ideas would be great on this. I would like to see the postings continue is possible. It is a great help to the community to track and see how the seeds are trending for the auction season. Have a good one, Dave.

Thanks Dave & Cecil for all the years of doing it.Just a suggestion here with the low seed prices it might be best not to post the results of each auction.Everyone should just put there best bid forward at the auctions. WE need FULL participation from all growers for clubs survive & prosper this season. If you have never bought a seed but have won money? Buy a seed this season.BEST BID FORWARD!!

Would it be possible to get the transcripts from Ken ? That is a good suggestion , some clubs might be willing. Does not have to be right away after the auction. I know Sundays are pretty much out of it for me .Early rise and I'm an hour ahead .

I just don't have the time to do it. I only attend a few auctions every year which is why is find the results helpful. I really appreciate what Dave & Cecil have done in the past.

Venari, & Cecil have done this very well over the past years...Hoping that someone steps up & takes over this incredible chore!! & not meaning to post anything mean...but I think that Bubba is WRONG!!! I think that results from every auction, should be put into a comprehensive list for all to see! Peace, Wayne

Thanks to Dave and Cecil for the many hours involved in this project. Seems like to best answer is for each club to post their own results.

I like seeing the results. It's useful/interesting information I don't mind supporting clubs but I don't see it as a great moral obligation though... I don't think most growers are desperate for more prize money are they?

Sorry a bit cynical. It must be a lot easier for the bigger clubs. The smallest clubs probably do struggle to have any prize money avail at all.

Great response Glen...cynical is obviously on this post already!!! Who, other than Bubba does not want to see results from previous auctions! Hope some young buck (computer wizard buck) out there has the time & intelligence to keep the list's being posted!! Peace, Wayne Hopefully someone steps up?!!! If no one does, then I will certainly encourage my growing club to post the results! KGPG ROCKS!!! LOL

The auctions that I am home for I would have no problem tracking the lots and posting the results. I can't commit to doing every auction because I simply don't know that I would be home for all of them. I would have been able to do 2 of the 3 so far if I knew people wanted this. I won't list the entire lot description for time/space, but I could put lot number, couple word description, and price. If you want to see the whole details you could match it up with lot listings from the auction page.

Who cares what someone else paid for a seed? If you want it buy it! I buy stuff all the time. Stuff I don't need. Wayne don't criticize people who buy and donate seeds.

Jeremy, the "criticism" was not meant for folks who buy & donate seeds...& not criticism, but personal opinion...about whether seed prices at "public auctions" are listed or not. & buy the way, if I do want it, I do by it! Can't wait for some of your seeds to come up at auction...when I have a night off!! LOL Peace, Wayne

Wildcat, go for it when you can. Post the Lot # & the price it sold for. That is the way it has been done in the past. If I ever get an auction nite off from work, I will keep track & try to post it!! Peace, Wayne PS..hopefully another couple of folks will step up & help this to continue!
