Fellow Growers- We are excited to announce some changes to 2018 membership benefits. The SCGA has revamped its homepage and Newsletters/Articles page. A number of new content items have been uploaded to the site, including the presentation slides from Joe's most recent GPC big show presentations: "Organic Matters!" and "Sinks, Sources, & Sugars". This content has only been available previously to those who attended the GPC Big Show. Also added are past newsletters, as well as 10+ in-depth articles on a variety of topics. New members can go back and read historical content at their leisure. And speaking of Newsletters, we'll be breathing life back into our Newsletter publication, with a target release date of Dec 15th for the fall recap issue. We'll continue to add pumpkin-relevant member-only content to the website so you get maximum value out of your membership dollars.
All of this content is now password protected and available exclusively to paid members of the SCGA. Members who renew will be emailed the password upon receipt of payment for the 2018 membership year. To join our club or renew your membership, please complete the online form on our membership webpage: http://www.stcroixgrowers.org/Membership.html
Returning members can renew for just $20.00. New members can select a premium membership for $25 that includes the Patch Guide, Month by Month tactics handout, and 2 seeds from a 1600+lb pumpkin. Both membership levels will have access to the protected content on the website.
Have a great holiday season and hope you enjoy your new and enhanced membership benefits!

As an added benefit to joining the SCGA, I will offer a free soil test review and amendment recommendation to new & renewing members.
I've created a spreadsheet similar to Mr. Langley's, with the added benefit that it can calculate how much of the preferred form of amendment/fertilizer is necessary to achieve target levels of macronutrients, micronutrients, pH, base saturation %'s, etc.
While I cannot promise personal bests with this tool, I can help take the confusion out of what to apply and how much of it to use based on your patch size.
