Formatting was perfect when entered now its a mess sorry.

I only included data from seeds grown by at least four different growers. This is the top 20 out of 55. Data is this year only.

To clarify, this list is sorted by what the average grower achieved. The average grower of the McMullen achieved an incredible 1545 lbs. One of the statistical errors with this data is that some growers grew more than one 2145 McMullen. What would skew the statistics is that a few of these growers may have only weighed their heaviest 2145 and left their duds at home which would make the McMullen appear modestly better.

A 100 lb handicap on the McMullen and a 50 lb handicap on the Sperry would be fair I think...

this is not my personal list this is 2017 gpc data... the only data excluded was pumpkins grown by three or fewer different growers... (and all the data from years prior to 2017) so there's a lot more data out there... this is just 2017 pumpkins grown by four or more different growers sorted by average result.

if anyone wants the entire list email me... wsu_brandon@hotmail.com

If someone has the time and software, it would be interesting to plot the grower locations on a map. Location is everything.

I hope to have maps by geo location posted within 3 weeks. As well as growers who normally grow heavy, is it genetics, soil, location, skill.

Mr. Wexler & team...Location does mean a lot, you have nailed it...but how would a plot be done, to consider weight vs location? and then add in % over chart? Good luck w/this Glen, LOL! Lot's of stuff to consider, eh? Peace, Wayne

No use in plotting the locations, it's a familiar song and dance...lol.

Illinois, Rhode Island, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Oregon.

The latitude is painfully obvious to Southern growers.

Anyone close to the 45th parallel seems to have a geographical advantage
