Is there anywhere in Canada that does soil samples geared towards growing Atlantic giants like western labs does?

No, but A & L Labs does a compete test (S1B + S7) that gives you all the macro & micronutrients in ppm & lbs per acre. They also give recommendations on fertilizer additions. Pretty good, but not as detailed as Western Labs.

Thanks. If we wanted to send a soil sample to the United States would it pass customs. I assume it's not allowed.

I don't think they will allow it past customs.

Yes, they accept soil imported from Canada, there is an import submission and declaration form ready to use and attach to the outside envelope containing your soil. It’s not their first rodeo...

Caper, many NS growers use the Kentville Research Station. You drop off or send your sample to them who in turn send it to the agriculture college in Truro. They provide a detailed report in ppm so you can see where you are and what you may need. Prices are reasonable.

Thanks guys. I'm a farmer so I can get my samples done through my fertilizer rep with Cavindish Agri. I was thinking a test like western labs does geared towards Atlantic Giants would be better.

To be honest I don't know how to read the samples. When we get them done our fertilizer rep tells us what to use and how many pounds per/acre. I'm trying to grow my giants using organic fertilizer
