This is my first year growing Jarrahdale pumpkins (not my idea). I have several early and late sets that are still green. Is there something I can do to get them to turn blue before Halloween besides painting them blue? Thanks.

Jarrahdale have always grown green for me. At most they turn a slate grey. Queensland Blue always gave me more blue.

I grew the Blue Doll variety but they never turned blue. Greenish grey is my best description.

Jarrahdale all grow grey here. They start grey and stay grey. Sounds almost like the seeds you have aren't true Jarrahdale pumpkins, but somewhere in the past were crossed with something else.

I grew 4 on 1 plant this year, and 1 was an off white\grey, 1 was blue\grey, and 2 were green\grey.

I bought the seeds off of Burpee.com. After exchanging several emails with them, one included a picture of my pumpkin, they concluded that the problem was with the seed. They thanked me for my pumpkin growing expertise. I will be getting replacement seeds for 2018. Now that I have figured out what does and doesn't work in my yard for growing giant pumpkins by using generic giant seeds, I hope to have a pumpkin big enough to take to a weighoff when I buy good seed.
