I had a great weekend with all the Napa growers at Elk Grove and then woke this morning to the news of horrific fires in the area. Hope they are all okay.

Many of the homes around mine are gone. I was only saved By the separation of the golf course and some vineyards. Most of the homes on the east side of Silverado C.C. are gone.

Our weigh off site at the Irvine Regional Park was in the direct path of the fire. Looks like the firefighters were able to keep the fire at bay less than 100 yards from their structure. But its early and the fire in the Canyon is less than 5% contained.

So much devastation. Looks like a war zone in some places. Prayers for all those in the path and those that have lost their homes.

We got a text from russ pingrey last night. He is ok and so is his house which is amazing! He said russ pugh is fine too. Still not out of the woods tho! The napa guys have no cell service. Jose ceja called from his landline at work. His house is ok. Leonardo had to evacuate his house so we will wait to hear from him. Last i heard he and his family were staying with family in napa . A friend near garys was still in her home as of yesterday and thought his place was ok. Fires are still raging. They get things calmed down and then the winds pick up at night and they start all over again.

I know that Gary Miller was able to get home Monday afternoon. He spent the night with a water hose in his hands. Last I heard from him the fire was within a half mile of his farm.
