Are the two pieces on the sides from that same pumpkin? If so, no idea how you did that. Was also wondering if you guys prefer AGs or field pumpkins? I've found the AGs are a little softer and seem to glow better but maybe they rot faster?

Two pumpkins. Jodi and I actually prefer field pumpkins, as they are a little bit easier to handle. With the giants you have to contort your body, and be on your knees to get good detail. Plus the mass amount of pumpkin needed to take away from the giants is crazy. I feel sorry for the guy that has to pick the garbage can up after we carve.
