I have a 1/5hp,1560 gal/hr pump. I thought it was plenty big enough, my 3/4" venturi injector will not work with that pump unless nothing is on the end of the hose. The lesson, go bigger than you need, you can always reduce the volume with a valve

Thanks for the replies! I'm just using it to take water out of my rain barrel and use a garden hose to water my garden and greenhouse. Just a real small scale setup.I'm guessing a smaller one would work? Anybody have one laying around they are not using and would like to trade?

I got one on eBay for around $30 to do the same thing you’re doing and it works just fine.

You can never have enough pump... small scale will turn into big scale anyhow...
