You have taken the one person that is not afraid to make observations and express himself negatively about decisions and rules down. You have beaten down a person that only wants fair play for all. Only the few know what this is doing to me.

You will never have critical comments toward the way things are run if you don’t ask yourselves, why did Owen say the things he said. Critical comments are how we grow, as a community, as a organization, as a hobby.

Most of you know that I would give the shirt off my back for anyone.

To all the growers that have not even tried to understand why I made my posts, make yourselves feel good by announcing your support and posting how great the committee is, beware that if you ever see something wrong, if you say something, you will be the next owen.

As I have said for the last 16 years, grow em big, go heavy, have fun.

I believe u are a good guy Owen. And I'm glad this site lets you express yourself freely. Sorry for questioning whether the GPC is really the evil empire, but it sounded like the president was not unreasonable with u, so maybe it's not all bad...

Ian should be Darth Vader for Halloween. The rest of us can dress as the various rebels who try to upset the empire... I've got dibs on Chewbacca:)

I remember owen a few years ago...how the chat group was really in disagreement with a decision made by the GPC. You stood up for our beliefs. In retrospect, it became a bit nastier than it should have. But I have always respected you since then. There has been some GPC representative changes since then and I really like the new group. If you can take a deep breath..and start talking constructively to them in effort to improve it for the growers I think they would welcome your input. You know you have a been a part of what pumpkin growing has become for many years. Take it a bit slower...I think you have much left that you can contribute. Come visit chat again soon...it has been too long.
