My wife and I would like to attempt to grow a giant pumpkin next year. When and where would be the best to buy seeds? Thanks, Dave

Check back here after the weigh off season in the seed exchange and auction message boards. Clubs will be having auctions to raise prize money. Some clubs sell seeds. And some growers will offer free seeds. For your first year growing, you can get some decent seeds for low cost or just the price of return postage. Just as important is getting a good soil test so you can get your soil ready, and research the site for growing techniques and disease and pest control advice. Welcome to the fun.
