Not sure if the link to the pick of my pumpkin will be of any help but not sure what happened here. Had a little weeping around the blossom end the other day but no obvious hole then or now. Flower blossomed around July 4, no male flowers available but let it grow. Not sure it ever was pollinated. Initially grew reasonable fast, culled the other kins farther down the vine and kept this one. Never really took off but I was blaming the cool weather. About 700 pounds now. Any ideas what's going on here? Would lack of pollination have caused this?

I haven't looked at the link yet, but there is no way that your pumpkin grew that big unless it pollinated somehow.

many reasons why the pumpkin did not produce the results you were hoping for. -----several might include

your soil condition
growing conditions (weather-sun-etc)
nutrients supplied (ferts-etc before-after-during)
seed selection (not all produce big kins)
disease control

pollinated by the bees or it would not have grown to 700 pounds. slow growth can be contributed to many things as noted above.
700 pounds is still a good effort for newer growers in the hobby.

Split her open and there were some seeds. Not a lot but they were there. Not sure how it got pollinated (insects obviously) as I had no male flowers in the patch. And I highlighted the link, right-clicked on it, and was able to go to the photos if anybody is still interested.
