Steve and his family lost their beloved Lily. She was a member of our community also and we will miss seeing her in your posts. Anybody who has lost a pet knows what they are going through. It is one of the worst things ever. Hang in there Porkchop family, we are with you.

I always loved the pictures of Lily in the diary posts and the fun comments you made. I am going to miss her but I know it is much harder on you. Our little four legged gardening assistants bring so much joy. I better go give my golden retriever a hug.

I lost my best friend Luke after 12 wonderful years, I have always believed he is setting up a pet heaven at the very least greeting each pet that shows up. He was a wonderful lab and I am sure you feel the same about your partner that you have lost. You are not alone. You are in my thoughts.

Sorry to hear Lily passed away. When I used to have a guinea pig a couple years ago her name was Penny. She lived to be 8 years old then when her health was failing it was very saddening to have her put down to end her suffering. It is very hard on you when your pet dies that you've known for a long time.

I'm sorry about the loss of your girl. Dogs in many ways are almost like our "kids". The loss of a fur daughter is tough at any time in life. But their unconditional love and the joyful memories stay with us as long as we remember them.

The Bridge:
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of all its beautiful colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows,
hills and valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place.
There is always food and water and warm spring weather.
The old and frail animals are young again.
Those who were sick, hurt or in pain are made whole again.
There is only one thing missing,
they are not with their special person who loved them so much on earth.
So each day they run and play until the day comes
when one suddenly stops playing and looks up!
The nose twitches! The ears are up!
The eyes are staring and this one runs from the group!
You have been seen and when you and your special friend meet,
you take her in your arms and hug her.
He licks and kisses your face again and again -
and you look once more into the eyes of your best friend and trusting
pet.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together never again to be apart.
