We just received our Fall supply of Cover Crop Seed. Our special mix contains 50% Winter Rye, 40% Winter Oats, & 10% Vetch. The Winter Rye is the hardiest of the grains. Winter Oats has been shown to help control harmful nematodes, Vetch is a legume which puts Nitrogen back in the soil. Use our Myco-Bact to inoculate the Vetch for maximum Nitrogen fixation.

Fall is also an excellent time to put on slow release long lasting minerals such as Natural Rock Phosphate & Greensand to build soil reserves of Phosphorous, Potassium, & Calcium. Please see the "Fertilizers" page.
