When measuring circumference, do you go level with the stem or go with the widest part at an angle across the stem? Also, do you measure the widest part for the side to side? Or the middle?

Level to the ground at its widest circumference...widest you can get back to front and side to side ...tape straight to the ground

Bigger now. Lol. I was measuring my circumstance with the tape measure above the stem and blossom, when the pumpkin is actually bigger below that line, and my side to side measurement was in the center, not at the highest point.

PPS..remember now that these measurements give you an estimate...but the guys putting together the estimates have put a lot of work into making them as accurate as possible! Kudo's to those folks!!!

Gained 21" in 5 days. Measuring wrong on 30 DAP and right on 35 DAP. This is my 2nd year growing, and first time, hopefully, having something for a weigh-off. Barnesville is about 45 minutes from me, so that's where I'm going this year.

And since I know you really want to know how big it is, the OTT was 190" on September 1(DAP 35).About 160 lb according to the 2017 chart.I'm thankful to everyone who makes the charts, I can't imagine how much work it is to make it accurate.
