It was a brutally hot July here and this pumpkin is my last shot at having anything big enough to call the season a success. I had another pumpkin right before this one that I culled because it was deformed also. This one is currently 18 DAP. Not sure what is going on but how big do you think it will get before it splits?? Anyone else had problems like this??

I have had pumpkin plants do that to me before. Every pumpkin on the plant will be shaped like that. I think it is a genetic thing. It might not rot though, so you can leave it on and let it grow. One's shaped like that are usually very heavy, I don't think they have a hollow core.
