There has been a pretty sever outbreak of Anthracnose in the area, so we treated with Daconil last Sunday. Today (4 days later) we are seeing pretty severe wilt that came out of nowhere. It looks like bacterial wilt, and I will field test for that after work, but I'm curious if the symptoms may be from over-applying the Daconil. Can anybody shed some light on whether this is possible and if any treatment is possible? We do still have some tertiary vine growth happening to give us some fresh foliage.

I have burned holes in the leaves with Bravo (daconil) when I applied it to heavy and it left a lot of white residue on the leaves the sun burned right through those spots.

In my experience daconil is pretty easy on the plants. You can use it full strength and paint areas with out any problem. I don't think that it would cause your plant to wilt. If it was from the daconil it would burn the leaves, not wilt them.

I've never experienced damage from daconil. Usually I attribute spray damage to either insecticide or fertilizer.

I have foliar applicated daconil. Through my water system and have never seen that issue. I think you have something else going on.

Have experienced same as BReeb, Bravo got clumpy and all the white dots on leaves turned to yellow dots and holes later....needs to be mixed up well.

Thanks for all of your replies. We removed the damaged tissue and I noticed small white lesions on the stems. I'm thinking now that we have some Plectosporium Blight... fortunately the recommended treatment for that is chlorothalonil. Hopefully we have this stuff under control... it's on our 2145 McMullen plant that we transplanted June 4th- got a 500lber on the main vine right now and we don't want to lose it.
