I pulled one of my plants today and I'm curious what disease it was. I tried treating the plant with no results. I have been told maybe yellow vine disease, bacterial wilt, or downy mildew. Does anybody have any labs they recommend? http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=279133

Most states will have labs to do soil tests and disease testing, check to see if Ohio has one. If you have YVD all fruit growth will cease and then they will rot. There will be no limping to the finish line with a fruit on a diseased plant. ( It's game over) In my experience with YVD, it doesn't kill the plant. The plant just stops growing and the leaves at the vine tips may wilt (at first) then sections of the plant will have yellow leaves. Some parts of the plant may continue to look normal, but it's not normal.
