Hi,
The title almost says it all. I am not growing giant pumpkins this year.
The only pumpkins I am growing now are Butternuts, about 12 square meters.
This is my question: the 3 plants I have, are growing fine but all they have is (a lot of) male flowers. Not a single female one....
Does anyone of you have an explanation?
Thanks in advance for any reaction.
Greetings from Belgium!!

I planted them outside june 1st when they had 3 real leaves, came out of the greenhouse.
The plants are about 4 meters, 12 leaves and have 2 or 3 side branches and about 20 male flowers per plant.

I would wait a while. The plants are still young and the male flowers usually start showing up a couple weeks before the females.

The plants need 60days from germination to get females
