Had a female open on a day I was away overnight. Left it uncovered for the bees to see if I could get an open pollination.
How long until I know for sure if it got pollinated?

Probably about 2-4 days. If it stays shiny then most likely it took

Sometimes 10 days and you are safe. I just had one on the 1374 that looked awesome turn from a shiny yellow to opaque yellow on day 8. It was bigger than a softball. We had low temps in the 40's. I think the plant knows what to do sometimes.

Cant be sure of anything till weighoff day-however in my climate they shine up and grow day six to nine. Pa prob younger than that by a day or two. Look for the blossom getting bigger, the stem lengthening ,the fruit shining up and laying down.Around day seven you can see them getting bigger( I don't measure so I go with the visual)
