What varieties of Cucurbita moschata reach weight of more then 150 lbs.? I pollinated several moschatas with Atlantic Giants some years ago, but this season I will try giant squash too. Do you think, giant moschata might become a competition league one of these days?

Enough people were interested in growing regular field pumpkins once they got big and then it became competition growing. So start growing regular field squash to a good size and who knows. But if it is done , the grower has to be willing to give the seeds out or it will never become competition.

Everyone loves a giant pumpkin or watermelon.
This is why I have a hard time justifying extra space in the garden for other things.
