What are some of the things you have used for stump covers?

Plexiglass glass works well, but expensive and breaks easy. Lost a main to a broken piece. I'm using plastic over part of hoop frame I left up. Some people use old windows. You want something that light can get through.

Plastic flip-top bin & 4 pieces or rebar to hold it up over the covered area.

What happens when you stick rebar in the ground isn't it cutting off roots seems like more risk than reward just wondering I don't use covers and have been fine just wondering why covers are needed ?

Use caution on humid nights when using anything plastic or glass. Dew can be an enemy.

I use a glass panel out of a storm window, I can fit my fan under to keep it dry too

ive got some old greenhouse poly ethylene panels.I cut a 1 by 2 foot piece and just lay it over the stump. Don't really need to support it which is the nice part.

I leave 2 of the hoops from the hoop house up, take one of the end pieces of plastic and double it up, clip it on over the stump. Rain can still blow in, but it does help some.

I didnt use any, I just kept leaves cut away so sun and air flow could get there. Not saying its the best, but it worked for me.
